General Care Sheet Snake

Housing

Usually young tubes are at home in a 10-20 gallon tank. If your snake grows, depending on the type of snake you have, you have 30g, 50g, and even custom tanks for large pipes needed. The largest snakes (often kept as pets) are always entire rooms dedicated to them.

The container should not be high if you have a tree (Tree) snake. Normally, the long variants tank sizes are ideal. For example, a 20 gallons long term of more than one standard 20-gallon, but also shorter and narrower possible.

The media that you can for your hose on the type you choose to possess depend. Most manufacturers, because of the need to frequently change substrate with torn newspaper as bedding for snakes. This is a great, cheap alternative to bedding. If you look like a "realistic" in the terrarium, and you choose to buy wood chips or sand make sure to study, because there are certain types of beds that are suspected of causing respiratory diseases and a variety of other snakes.

Heating / lighting

The best source of heat for your snake or under tank heater (UTH) or a heat lamp. You can also use a combination of both at the perfect temperature for the snake. You need to look for guidance on temperature for the temperature of your specific pipe, because needs vary between the pipes.

It is strongly recommended not to use heat rocks or other heat sources that have snakes. This direct access can cause serious burns to your snake, and we do not want that

One thing you should definitely do your snake with a temperature gradient. This means that you have the heat on one side of the tank, and let the other side to cool. This gives the possibility to choose the most comfortable place on the slopes. You tube

You do not need to keep a strict schedule of fire. You tube Personally I turn off the light when I go to sleep and when I wake up, I have it. I think this is a very good way to be sure that they are much brighter / darker every day (if it does not really matter).

Feed

Feeding your snake on a thrilling experience connected properly? Well, it depends. If you

Feed your snake live prey, then it will be very exciting, but you run the risk of hurting your luggage prey (certainly a possibility if you feed rats and larger to start). Personally, I always tube fed live, I keep an eye on them and I have not had a problem.

With pre-killed prey have not (strongly recommended by some) to take care of your injured snake. The big problem is that some snakes more "difficult" as the ball python may refuse to eat. You may have to go far to fool or maybe feeding your snake.
